Lovely Luna is over the moon about her new parents, Jim and Angela, and the feeling is definitely mutual. At about three years old, there’s still a lot of pup left in this pup, and her new family makes sure that her days are filled with outdoor fun and games which allow her to stretch her legs and walk or run off some of her excess energy, with some doggie homeschooling thrown in to help her get to the top of the class.
Jim and Angela sent us an update on their sweet girl:
Ms. Luna has settled in nicely to our home and her forever home. She has the sweetest disposition and loves to cuddle. We feel so blessed to have another Safe Harbor Lab Rescue Lab join our family. Luna loves being around people and the dogs of other extended family members. She rarely barks, rides well in the car, and takes treats gently. Did I mention that she loves treats?
Luna has a lot of puppy energy and her tail wags with great enthusiasm as she gets ready for her daily walks. Twice a day for walks is great for her health and ours. She also loves going to the dog park. She plays well with others and has speed to be first to fetch the ball ahead of other pups at the park. Luna knows sit and lay down but is working on stay, leave it (for food left by others on walks), paw to shake, and slowing down while eating her kibbles.
We simply could not have imagined a more loving and well-suited Lab to join our family. Our hearts go out to those who have to surrender a dog to a rescue but in this case, Luna is getting lots of love, attention, and maybe a little spoiled (well, a lot spoiled) with a large basket of toys to keep her busy. And she gets an occasional treat for good behavior – did I mention that she loves treats?
