Ollie’s new beginning got off to a bumpy start when he was challenged with overcoming a freak
injury shortly after arriving in his forever home. With his new family’s unbounding love and devotion to him, three-year-old Ollie is once again enjoying the full life of a Lab during his walks, playtime and hanging out with his older Lab sister. Brenda and Randy recently sent us the following note:
Ollie is the most expressive, gentle and sweet dog. Despite his rough beginning with us, he has made himself comfortable and at home since the very first day. He is never very far away from us always wanting to be part of whatever is going on. He loves to play with his stuffed “babies”, always having to take one with him every time he goes out the door often needing a reminder to bring it back in. He often even wants to take them along on his walks. Ollie adores his new sister, Sandy, even though I don’t think he has had to share a family with another dog before and gives her kisses anytime she is near him. He is extremely gentle with her when enticing her to play with him. I believe he realizes her advanced age ~she is 13 years old ~ and the need to treat her tenderly. He also loves car rides, and we are so excited about taking him up to our cabin in the mountains once the weather permits. We couldn’t be blessed with a more loving new boy than we are with Ollie. He is definitely worth all the recovery modalities that we have expended on him. We look forward to many years of loving him and having him share our home as part of our family.
Many thanks to Kate and family for fostering Ollie!
