Mason is very excited to be the fourth lucky Safe Harbor Lab to find his forever home with Anita and Thomas. A charming and clever fellow, this 2.5-year-old black Lab youngster is quickly learning all the ins and outs of family life, including his new role of little brother to 6 year old SHLR grad, Cassie.
Thomas sent us an update on the new kid in the family:
Immediately upon bringing Mason to his forever home from his foster home he made a political statement that was amusing and pertinent, and precipitated changing his name to Pagan. Pagan didn’t take long to acclimate to his new quarters. He learned within 10 seconds how to catch treats; another couple of minutes and he discovered he is allowed on the furniture. Smart dog. Other than a bit of jealousy, Pagan and his new sister, Cassie, have been getting along well.
Pagan has begun working with a trainer. He is learning quickly and is a real delight to walk around the neighborhood. He is a relentless guard dog. He has definitely cut down on the number of squirrel visits to our yard. We love our new boy and are delighted to have him with us.
