Three-year-old Rex may be a bit of a ham, but this sweet Lab boy takes his new job of Head Household Lab very seriously. Rex has happily traded in his knapsack and life on the streets for all the comforts of home with his new parents, Phil and Carol. His new family also includes a Toy Fox Terrier big brother, ten-year-old B.J., as well as a two-legged teenage sibling, so there is always someone around to share snacks and pal around with.

Phil and Carol tell us: We adopted Rex the end of November. It became clear that he was our early Christmas present. He has adjusted well to his forever home.

Rex is nothing but love and silliness. He eagerly looks forward to his daily walks, followed by some serious fetching in the park. As the picture shows, he loves his KONG toy and is often carrying in around the house. Shortly after dinner, he can always be found right on the couch next to Dad for some extra love and attention. Thanks to Safe Harbor for all they do and all the foster families that take in rescue dogs.
