Rizzo hit a home run when he convinced Peter and Kathy that he has what it takes to be their next All-Star dog. Although their previous Lab, Sampson, left some very big paw prints to fill, one-year-old Rizzo has already stepped up to the plate and is doing his puppy best to keep his new family amused, well-exercised, and always surrounded by wags and kisses. Good boy, Rizzo.
Peter and Kathy report: “Rizzo” named after the Chicago Cubs first baseman, is our second SHLR. He fills the huge void left in our life when Sampson passed two months ago. We were hesitant to get another dog as Sam was the perfect dog for us. Rizzo has quickly captured our hearts. He is a combination of youthful pup, lover and pleaser. He is still fearful of strangers but his tail beats loudly when one of us comes into a room, even if we were only gone for a minute.”
We are excited about the life we will all live together and the adventures we will have together hiking, fishing and playing in the snow. “Riz” is enjoying the life of a mountain dog.
Our thanks to everyone at Canine Fitness and Fun for fostering Rizzo/Otto!
