Rocco came into our lives at 5 years of age as a crazy, goofy boy full of energy. He always thought he was still a puppy. We believe he had always been an only dog as he wasn’t sure what to do when his adopted “sister” Sandy would entice him to play. It didn’t take long however for him to figure out what fun it was! He loved tennis balls, but “retriever” was not in his vocabulary. He’d love to chase them but would only bring them back a few feet. He’d then look at you and bark “you threw it so come and get it and throw it again for me”. We had many joyful, wonder filled trips camping in the mountains during the summers with the “kids” and then purchased a cabin that was their “little house”. Rocco loved to sit on the front porch and bark at the “chippers” (chipmunks) running around. He enjoyed life to its fullest and was loved beyond measure. Cancer reared its ugly head in July of 2025 and took its final toll on Rocco August 22, 2025. He is deeply missed by my husband, myself and his “sister” Sandy.
