Three-year-old Rudy is as handsome a hunk of Lab as you’ll ever meet, and this friendly fellow likes nothing more than being out and about with his new dad, Ronald, always making new friends and keeping the local critters in line along the way.

Rudy’s dad reports:

Rudy has been at his new home for a month now and is doing great. He has gained some much-needed weight thanks to an Uncle who makes him custom meals and treats. He gets to go on lots of adventures like to dog parks and to our townhome in the mountains to play in the snow and go on long hikes. He particularly likes toys that he can toss around and then chew apart. Walks are fun until he sees a bunny rabbit, then all his hunting instincts kick in. He is super strong and fast wanting to chase them! Jogging in Washington Park is fun also until we spot a squirrel which distracts us from our running. Rudy’s tail wags so much when greeting people his whole body wiggles around. Other dogs are fun to play with and smell, but he is more of a people lover.

Rudy wants me to tell all of you at SHLR and especially his Foster Dad, Steve, “Thanks for helping me find my new and safe home with Dad, and I also have an Uncle who spoils me rotten.” “I feel very loved here and enjoy napping on the couch while my Dad watches his Star Trek movies. My vet and her assistant say I’m very handsome!”
