Baby Ruth is growing up but she’s still the baby of her family. Jen, Dan, and their three kids are all smitten with the newest, adorable addition, and this lucky pup is thriving with all the love, fun, and adventures that her fabulous new life brings.
Jen and Dan tell us:
We adopted Baby Ruth on 8/7/2025 after waiting a few years to mourn the loss of Ms. Rhody, our 13.5 year old black Lab mix that was a rescue too. “Ruthie” was chosen because of her loving and calm nature! She was a kissing sweetheart from the start and would wait patiently (three seconds) for a turn with a toy or for attention. “Ruthie” LOVES to roughhouse with our three kiddos, especially the 10 year old twin boys! She plays with other dogs and loves all people! She is a wonderful hiker and has already been to Moab along with some great spots up and down the Roaring Fork Valley. She adorably tries to catch the bubbles that float along the riverbank where we live and finds a new stick every 5-10 feet of a walk/hike! Hopefully she will love to swim and play fetch next. “Ruthie” has a cozy doggy bed that was Ms. Rhody’s but definitely prefers to cuddle up on the couch or in a human bed with us! She is a smart little pup having already mastered seven tricks and is definitely food motivated! We just LOVE this pup and are so grateful that she was rescued and joined our family.
