The new kid in Christy and Joshua’s family is the talented Mr. Ryder. This handsome chocolate guy arrived as a lovable ten-month-old pup with a great temperament, but a lot left to learn. In case you thought young Ryder was just another pretty face, you should take a look at his report card from puppy class where he wowed the teacher and then skipped ahead a grade or two. When he’s not in school showing off his smarts, Ryder enjoys making new friends and letting his new family know what an all-around very good boy he is.
Ryder’s new parents tell us:
Ryder (formerly Barkus) has been a wonderful addition to our family. He has completed his puppy training classes and is advancing to the expert class. The trainer says he is one of the best she’s seen. Ryder loves long walks, playing catch, and using his super sniffer! He often captures too big sticks and tries to bring them home. He couldn’t care less about other dogs, squirrels, etc. He recently met his grandmas on both sides and has been very spoiled with treats and new toys.
The best part about Ryder is his loving, kind nature around all different kinds of people. We are thrilled he is a part of our family and so grateful to SHLR!

Many thanks to Pat for fostering Ryder/Barkus!
