The latest gem, and second Safe Harbor alumna, to join Lori and Bob’s family is lovely 12-year-old Sapphire. With three fenced acres within her new 35 acre “yard” to run and play in, and four-legged siblings of various shapes and sizes to pal around with, Sapphire’s new life will be filled with fun and family, thanks to her huge-hearted new parents who make sure that all of their pups enjoy an abundant mix of love, attention, exercise, and adventure.
Lori recently sent us an update on Ms. Sapphire: “Sapphire is a wonderful new addition to our four-legged family. My husband, Bob, and I also adopted “Mama Bear” last October who we love dearly. We had lost two of our senior rescued dogs within 10 days of each other in early May. When I saw Sapphire on the SHLR website her dear sweet white face just caught my eye, and when I read her bio I just knew she would fit right into our family. We just love the senior dogs and they have oh so much love to give.
Sapphire made herself right at home and it took no time at all for her to get used to the doggie door. She loves exploring out in the yard and takes her naps on the couches or sleeps on the floor in my home office. Sapphire gets along well with all of our other senior rescued dogs. When it is feeding time, she will let you know and barks with delight. She loves attention and will rub all over you when she wants to be petted. We absolutely love this sweet senior girl. I am so thankful that I was able to provide Miss Sapphire with a loving new home.”
