Ursa was my failed foster. She was already eight years old when she came into my life yet we had nearly six great years together. Ursa loved everyone and everyone loved her and went out of their way to greet her. She and I took long road trips together, camped alongside lakes and rivers, walked daily along our nearby creek and spent the better part of each day together. Our lives were completely intertwined. Ursa adored my partner Lorri and bonded with her dog Murphy. They were best canine friends and they lit up when they greeted each other. Later in life she developed some health challenges but we met them together and made the most of our remaining time together. She remained affectionate, playful and silly to the very end and will be forever missed and never forgotten.
