John adopting Wiley could easily be seen as destiny.  The one-year-old stray was found in poor health, and John’s own personal loss was not too far in the rearview mirror.  Now, the fox red Labrador is thriving as John’s constant companion. This very handsome young man is intelligent and silly (like his namesake color).  It seems John and Wiley are a match made in heaven.

John sent us an update on Wiley:

“Three years ago, I lost both my wife and oldest son. I needed to fill the void in my heart and home. I was a bit anxious about adopting a dog since I have not had a dog in years but wanted to try it. From the moment I adopted Wiley, he has fit right into my family, filled my days, and become my best companion. He is sweet, playful, intelligent and catches the eye of many people because he is handsome. He loves to be in the backyard with me, play ball, frisbee and go on walks. I plan on continuing training him and taking him on trips. I cannot imagine my days without Wiley. He has found his forever home and I am grateful.”

Many Thanks to Linda B. for Fostering and Facilitating Wiley!
