Four-year-old Zelda joined Megan and John’s family and soon became the hardest working dog in the neighborhood. Her new duties include, but are not limited to, being on call for cuddling and snuggling 24 hours a day, warming beds and keeping monsters away when family members are sleeping, taking the family on frequent walks to ensure everyone gets proper exercise, teaching young up-and-coming-dogs-to-be a thing or two about manners, and (best of all) being a Lab Ambassador and one-dog greeting committee at her new kids’ school. Needless to say, sweet Zelda is loving every minute of life with her new family.
Megan and John tell us:
Zelda came to us just a week after our beloved 13 year-old dog crossed the rainbow bridge, and she is exactly the dog our family needed! She has integrated seamlessly into our family, and shares a special bond with our two sons, ages 7 and 9. She is the ultimate cuddle bug, and has slept in bed with us from night one. She loves going for walks and making new friends with people and dogs alike, and is so calm and gentle with all of the elementary schoolers who flock to her at pickup every day. She’s even been teaching our neighbor’s puppy how to socialize and behave on walks. We just love her to pieces and can’t imagine our home without her!

Many thanks to Christie and Chris for fostering Zelda/Bella!
